The Hotel Baja Azzurra is in Barisardo, a little town, in Ogliastra, on the central eastern coast of Sardinia. The building is just 250 meters far from the suggestive bay of the “Torre di Baŕ”, overlooked by the Spanish tower that has the same name, and there is a long beach wetted by the clear water of the Sardinian sea. By boat it is easy to reach the famous creeks of the gulf of Orosei. By car or by bicycle, in few minutes you can visit other creeks or beaches, archaeological sites and places of naturalistic interest.
The Hotel is easily reachable from the most important cities in the island. It is only 15 minutes by car from the Arbatax harbour. If you take the main road 125 that goes back south, Cagliari is only 130km far. Harbours and airports of north Sardinia are those of Olbia, far 195km, Porto Torres 255km and Alghero 220km. To reach us from the former, the second and the latter you have to take the main road 131 D.C.N. and when you arrive near Nuoro you take the route 389 and follow indications to Tortoĺ and than Barisardo.
Barisardo is a small town located on the central eastern coast of the island. The town is fully dipped into a land that switches from long sandy beaches along with shady pine forest, to rocky places as the Teccu coast that offers striking seabed full of marine flora and fauna. To see are the beaches of Cea, Torre di Baŕ and Planargia. In town you can’t miss to visit the churches, the archaeological sites such as Nuraghi, Domus de Janas and some places of naturalistic interest.
During the year there are several religious and country feasts such as the Via Crucis and the other celebrations during Easter time, the Sagra de Su Nenniri in July, the commemoration of the Beata Vergine del Monserrato and Santi Michele e Girolamo and all the other different festival of typical local products like the festival of culurgiones.
